Magnetic Susceptibility
The scanner is equipped with an industry-standard Bartington sensor and meter, which enable precise magnetic susceptibility measurements. To optimize accuracy, integration times can be adjusted to match different sample types.
Software
To ensure consistent results under varying conditions, the magnetic susceptibility software offers multiple measurement modes, including drift correction, which help minimize background influences Furthermore the ambient scanner temperature is recorded with each measurement, in order to document temperature influence. With future updates this feature will be extended to core temperature monitoring.
The measurement software is designed to resemble the XRF- and Line Scan programs ensuring users can easily swap between them. It allows for exact positioning, enabling highly reproducible repeat scans at identical locations. Together, these features provide researchers with an accurate and extensive magnetic susceptibility system.
