Multiple Cores
The 6th generation scanner supports up to 3 cores to be scanned consecutively, each up to 1,5m (4’11”) in length. Measurements settings can be independently configured for each core to accommodate various core types in a single combined run. This feature is particularly well suited for extended unattended operations, like overnight or weekend scanning, requiring less frequent user input.
Monitor Scanning
The dedicated monitoring sample area allows for frequent monitor scanning, to check the stability of the equipment. Furthermore our software includes an comparison tab that enables the straightforward evaluation of scan consistency over time. Various standard samples are delivered with the machine, and can be replaced with user-selected samples if preferred.
Safety systems
The scanner is equipped with advanced industrial-grade safety systems that ensure complete radiation containment throughout operations. Its enclosure is built from at least 6 mm overlapped stainless steel, effectively preventing X-ray scattering through potential openings. Each unit undergoes rigorous testing prior to delivery to verify compliance with strict radiation safety standards.
Lab Container
The core scanner can be delivered in a lab container enabling easy transport on and off a ship and on site. With a container the scanner is no longer restricted to only operated in a lab environment at an institute but it can provided valuable first insights into just acquired cores on a cruise. The container is climate controlled and in compliance with regulations of the applicable classification society.
