RGB & UV Line Scan Camera
The updated camera system in the AvaaTech Core Scanner captures ultra-high-resolution line scan images along the full length of the core, providing detailed visual data for lithological analysis. With pixel sizes down to 25 μm, even the finest stratification becomes visible. A dedicated white LED lighting system improves visible surface details, while the optional UV lighting reveals features such as fluorescent responses in coral-rich sections.
Software
The dedicated camera software offers flexible image export options, including various standard file types and raw color data in multiple formats. Within the software, you can define specific areas of interest for further investigation with either color data or XRF . A streamlined export function allows seamless transfer of these selected regions to the XRF measurement software.
The 6th generation scanner supports up to 3 cores to be scanned consecutively, each up to 1,5m (4’11”) in length. Measurements settings can be independently configured for each core to accommodate various core types in a single combined run. This feature is particularly well suited for extended unattended operations, like overnight or weekend scanning, requiring less frequent user input.
