Regarding the adjustable slit opening in the Y- (across core) direction, the AVAATECH XRF Core-Scanner can be equipped with one of the two following options: a manual setting (standard on every core scanner) of the slit opening or a motor-controlled system. The last mentioned is operated via the core-scanner software for easy and precise adjustment of the slit opening. In both cases the slit opening in the Y-direction can be set from 2 to 12 mm.
